Desolation

On the only planet in the star system lives a civilization similar to our own. In complete stillness and abscence of other celestial bodies, the people on the planet live out their lives in happiness and prosperity, contemplating about what will be happening next. They have progressed far, and possess advanced technologies for harnessing the nature they were created by. Their destiny is yet to be unfolded, will they fall into the technological trap they have created or will they live in peace with the course of the universe?

I'm quite pleased with the image that resulted from my work and this is my first attempt at, to a certain extent, recreating a galaxy.
