The Birthgiving Fields

In some places in the universe, vast pillars of gas tower above all else (or that depends on what your perspective is anyways), their shapes formed by the gravitational pull between the unimaginable amounts of particles, yet every cubic meter of these clouds only contain a few atoms.

This image was originally 7000 by 12200 pixels (pretty random, yeah) and the file was so large at first that photoshop could not save it (how do you enable large docuemnt files in photoshop CS4?)

overall, I ended up pretty pleased with this, but a friend of mine (att3ro) will probably still say "ehmm, it looks freaked".
