Towering Column v2 by Nuukeer Towering Column v2 by Nuukeer
Removed the excessive light from the top and added some chromatic stars. I prefer it this way now.

I prefer this version as well ;) I don't think I've seen your other one, but many artists think more light is better. But this method shows me a LOT more detail and texture in the nebulae, it would make such a great giant poster!

Curious, what kind of monitor are you viewing this on?

An uncalibrated 95 % NTSC gamut AUO B156HW01 V7 (I think it is called).Very nice, saturated colors; unfortunately most displays can't approach it in this regard. I tried installing a color calibrated profile, but I didn't think it looked very nice.

I wonder if your images are just showing up sharper on my monitors then they do on yours. It looks like you're gets good sharpness ratings though...

Maybe - it depends on your contrast and gamma settings, I believe. I also consider my pictures to be sharper than average.

Yowch, maybe a wee bit too much sharpening on the planet.

I don't think the planet is that sharp, though.
